Anniston Star
Services for Arlie Vanaser Maddox, 61, of Austell, formerly of Randolph County, 
were today at Bene-field Funeral Home chapel in Wedowee with the Rev. Alvin 
Dempsey officiating. Burial was in Wesley Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.  Mr. 
Maddox died Sunday at his residence. Survivors Include his wife Mrs. Pauline W. 
Maddox of Austell; a daughter, Mrs. Francis Jones of Austell; a sister, Mrs. Eris 
Stephens of Lineville; and a brother, Erastus Maddox of Wauchula, Fla. 
Pallbearers were nephews. Mr. Maddox was a native of Randolph County, a former 
resident of Lineville, and had lived in Austell for 12 years. He was an employee 
of the Jim Wallace Service Station in Lithta Springs, Ga., a veteran of World War 
II and a member of Wesley's Chapel Christian Church.
