Services for William Erastus Maddox, 66, of Wauchula, formerly of Randolph 
County, were today at Wesley's Chapel Congregational Christian Church with the 
Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with 
Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. Mr. Maddox died Saturday in 
Wauchula. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Shelby Rollins of Roanoke; a son, 
Joe Bob Maddox of Bowdon, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Eris Stephens of Lineville; and six 
grandchildren. Mr. Maddox lived in Wauchula for the past 30 years. He was a fruit 
farmer.
