MR. J. C. MARSHALL DIED AT LEVEL ROAD SUNDAY

Level Road, May 10---This community was made sad yesterday afternoon when the 
death angel visited the home of Mrs. J. C. Marshall and took away her husband.  
Mr. Marshall had been in feeble health for a good while, but he bore his 
sufferings with patience.  He was a good husband and kind father and a friend 
to all, both white and colored.  He leaves a wife and nine children and a host 
of friends to mourn his going away.  He was 70 years and a few days old.  All 
of his children were present when the end came but two.  Interment will be at 
Concord Tuesday afternoon.
