OBITUARIES:

KING MARSHALL, FORMER COUNTY OFFICIAL DIES

     (Roanoke Rt 2) Marion King Marshall, age 82, of Roanoke, died in the 
Veterans Hospital in Tuskegee on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 10:10 A.M.
     He was a tax assessor of Randolph County for eight years.
     Mr. Marshall is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dillie Mae Marshall; three 
grandsons. Bobby, Rickie and Ronnie Marshall of Roanoke Rt. 2; three brothers, 
John H. Marshall of Washington, D. C., Clarence G. Marshall of Wadley Rt. 1, 
and Walter R. Marshall of Gulfport, Miss.; and three sisters, Mrs. LaVicie 
Foster of Roanoke, Mrs Lora Hodges of Columbus, Ga., and Mrs. Lois Strickland 
of Lanett.
     Funeral services for Mr. Marshall were conducted Monday afternoon at two 
o'clock from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. W. L. Eley and the 
Rev. Herman Clark, with burial in the church cemetery.
     Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Ada Sophronia Mobley Marshall. He married Dillie Mae Waldrep]
