Lineville Headlight
In Memory of Little Ruth on Nov. 26th. 1914, the death angel visited the home of 
Bro. Garfield McCollum and took from him and Sister McCollum their sweet little 
girl Ruth, onto that celestial home above. She was about a year old. Her death 
was a mighty shock to the whole family as it was so sudden. She was laid to rest 
the in Christiana cemetery. The writer conducted the burial service. 
She leaves a father and mother, three brothers and three sisters to mourn her 
loss. Their loss is our gain. She is a bright and shining star. She was too good 
and sweet to stay down here in this world of sin and sorrow. God called her to 
be with Him and the angels and all those gone on before. Dear parents, you have 
a treasure in Heaven, there waiting for you. Dear children, your dear little 
sister has gone to be with God and the angels. Be sure live --- so that you can 
meet her in that sweet home above.
