E. McCord, Ot Heflin, Rt. 1, died early today at Anniston Memorial hospital an extended illness. Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday at Morrison Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. Hobart Murphree and the Rev Warren Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with graveside Masonic rites. The body is at Gray-Brown-Service Mortuary Anniston and will be conveyed at 3 p.m. Saturday to the residence where it will remain until time of services. A lifelong resident of Randolph County, Mr. McCord was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Wedowee. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ethel McCord of Heflin; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Alice McClellan of Anniston; two sons, Clarence McCord of Canton, Ga., and Leon McCord of Columbiana; a brother, Dan McCord of Wedowee; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
