Roanoke Leader
Osborn Ellis McManus of Wedowee Rt. 1, age 55, passed away at his home Tuesday, 
July 19, at 4 p.m. Mr. McManus is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula McManus; 2 
daughters, Mrs. Clarice McCord of Newell and Mrs. Janette Broach of Roanoke; 3 
grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Mrs. Adell McCombs, and Mrs. Eva McCain of Wedowee, 
Ala. Funeral services for Mr. McManus were conducted Thursday at 11 a. m. from 
the Ava Methodist Church by Rev. Lewis Lankford and Rev. G. W. Wiggins. Burial 
was in the church cemetery, Quattlebaum's Brown Service Home in charge of 
arrangements.
