M. (Mike) McManus, 75, of Wedowee, Star Route, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Liberty Grove Church the Revs. D, C. Wills, Billy Howell, and Hobart Murphree officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Grove Cemetery with Quattlebaum Brown-Service Funeral Home of Roanoke in charge. He is survived by his wife. Mrs. Arbie Wilson McManus; three sons, Ferris S. McManus of Roanoke, Joe Floyd McManus of Fairburne, Ga., and Gary Yeats McManus of Franklin, Ga.; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Traylor, Mrs. Sarah McConnell and Mrs. Helen Salmon, all of LaGrange, Ga., and Mrs. Tressie Greene of Atlanta, Ga.; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Martha Messer of Woodland and Mrs. Ora Thompson, of Roopville, Ga Active pallbearers were Joe Bob McManus, Jack McManus Jack Messer, Herbert McManus, Jimmy Thompson, Kermit McCain, and Jesse Ray McManus. Honorary pallbearers were Roy Merrill, Amos Williams, Wallace Arlington, Dwight Hall, Mac McCord, Leon Payne, Walt Lane. Clifford Green, Vernon Parker, Wallace Reaves, Ronnie Holloway, R.D. Simpson, Bobby Perry, Verl Kirby, Crawford Haynes, and Calvin Weaver. Mr. McManus was a retired farmer, a member of the Liberty Grove Methodist Church in the New Hope Community.
