OBITUARIES:

CARLYNE McMURRAY
   (Roanoke)  Mrs. Carlyne McMurray, age 69, of 313 Guy Street, Roanoke, died 
Tuesday, September 29, 1987, in Randolph County Hospital, Roanoke.
   She is survived by her husband, Thomas A. McMurray; one sister Mrs. Kathleen 
White of Florence, Ala., one brother, Glenn Koonce Blackburn of Scottsboro; two 
nieces, Mrs. Beth Winchester of Hollywood, Ala., and Miss Emily Ann White of 
Arlington, Va.; and one nephew, Dr. Glenn Blackburn, Jr. of Somerset, Ky.
   Graveside services for Mrs. McMurray will be held in Cedarwood Cemetery, 
Roanoke, at three o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 30, with Gerald Romine 
officiating.
   Pallbearers will be James L. McMurray Jr., Dr. Paul A. McMurray, Thomas A. 
McMurray, Winston Richardson, Sam Carpenter and Raymond Key.
   The family suggested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to 
Roanoke Church of Christ or to a favorite charity.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
