Roanoke Leader
With military personnel from Maxwell Field rendering military honors, funeral 
services for Airman First Class James Mitchell, 22, were conducted at three 
o'clock this Wednesday afternoon from the Auslin's Chapel Church near Wedowee. 
Rev. Hobart Murphree was the officiating minister. Interment was in the church 
cemetery, with Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements. 
Airman Mitchell is survived by his wife and one daughter, Theresa June; his 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Durell Mitchell of Wedowee, Rt three brothers, Lee, Robert, 
and Marvin Mitchell of Wedowee Rt. 1; two sisters, Rosie Lee and Sarah Frances 
Mitchell of Wedowee Rt. 1; and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben 
Embrey.

Note: He is buried Mt. Grove Church Cemetery Randolph County not Auslin's Chapel.
