Anniston Star
Nat Rampie Mitchell, 82, of Delta, Rt. I, died at his home early Friday morning. 
He was a retired farmer and a native of Randolph County, Funeral services were 
held this morning at 11 o'clock at Austin Chapel Methodist Church in Clay 
County. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery, with Blair Funeral Home directing. 
Mr. Mitchell was member of Austin Chapel Church. Survivors include the widow 
Mrs. Flora Mitchell, six daughters; Mrs. Jim Smith, Lincoln; Mrs. Nora Sparks, 
Anniston; Mrs. Eva Ledbetter, Ohatchee; Mrs. Mary Nelson, Fairfax; and Mrs. Sue 
Hall and Miss Wilmer Mitchell, of Delta; nine sons, Pierce, of Anniston; E. E., 
Ross and H. L. Mitchell, of Ohatchee; Bill, Colvin, Nat R., Mack and B. 
Mitchell, all of Delta. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Willie Belle 
Mitchell, of Lineville: two brothers Newt Mitchell, Lineville, and Thad 
Mitchell, of Wedowee: 4d grandchildren and S3 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers 
were grandsons Pete and Jimmy Smith, and Ernest, Henry, Max and Hoppy Mitchell.
