OBITUARIES:

[WILLIAM L.] MITCHUM	

   (Roanoke) Services for William L. Mitchum, 57, of 510 Louina St., Roanoke, 
were today at First Methodist Church in Roanoke with the Rev Larry Armstrong 
officiating.  Burial was in Cedarwood Cemetery with Quattlebaum's Brown-Service 
Funeral Home in charge.
   Mr. Mitchum died Thursday [Nov 22, 1979] in Randolph County Hospital.
   Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Janie Mitchum of Roanoke; two sons, Allen 
Mitchum of Roanoke and Chris Mitchum of Macon, GA; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Allen 
of Wadley and Mrs. Sara Earl of Five Points; a brother John Mitchum of Roanoke; 
and three grandchildren.
   Pallbearers were Ralph Richardson, Jimmy Baird, Benny Mitchum, Mixon 
Nichols, Jerry Mitchum and Jimmy Young.
   Honorary pallbearers were members of the Roanoke Fire Department.
   Mr. Mitchum was a teacher at the Roanoke-Randolph County Area Trade School 
in Wedowee.
