Moncus, 84, of Wadley will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Pine Grove Cemetery with Revs. Joe Mallory and Bill Huffman officiating. Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Moncus died Monday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include his wife Opal McGill Moncus of Wadley; two daughters, Vickie Wade of Camp Hill and Christie Young of Tullahoma, Tenn.; two sons, Earl Moncus of Wadley and Ed Moncus of Adairsville, Ga.; a sister, Ruby Welch of Knoxville; a brother, Albert Moncus of Roanoke; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews. Mr. Moncus, a native of Randolph County, was a veteran of World War II and was self- employed as a farmer and plumber. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and of Almond Methodist Church.
