Mr. Morrison was a veteran of World War II and completed his education at Jacksonville Slate Teachers College after returning from service. He was a former employee of the veteran's farm program in the county and was employed as an office clerk at Bynum at the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic lodge. Mr. Morrison was reported to have been killed instantly when his car ran into an embankment at the end of a dead-end Talladega Street. He was thrown from the car, which caught fire after smashing into the embankment. Survivors are his mother, one brother, Rudolph Morrison, and one sister, Mrs. Byrd Stewart, ail of Newell Rt. 1. Funeral services for Mr. Morrison were conducted by the Rev. Monroe Wiggins and the Rev. Mr. Wilder at two o'clock Tuesday afternoon from Union Church at Morrisons Crossroads. Interment was in the church cemetery. Sawyer Masonic Lodge No. 93 of Wedowee rendered Masonic honors at the graveside, and members of the lodge served as active and honorary pallbearers. Quattlebaum's Funeral Home directed. Additional Comments: Anniston Star: A Newell mother is seeking anyone who might have information about the last hours of her son, who was killed in s wreck in Talladega last November. She is Mrs. Arthur Morrison of Morrison's Crossroad, the mother of Dale Morrison who died in an accident about 2:30 o'clock Monday morning, Nov. 24. "Anyone that saw Dale on Sunday night Nov. 23, the night of his tragic accident, please get in touch with me" Mrs. Morrison wrote The Anniston Star, "as our hearts are yearning for information of who he spent the time with. It will mean so much to know." Mrs. Morrison said her son was not seen by anyone she knows between 1 p. m. on that Sunday afternoon and the time of the accident early the following morning.
