The Anniston Star
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna B. Motes, 79. who died at her home Tuesday night 
at 7:30 o'clock, were held yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at Wesley Chapel 
Methodist Church with the Rev. J. P. Bean officiating.  Burial was to the 
adjoining Cemetery, Mrs. Motes is survived by five son and two daughters, J.O. 
Motes of, Alexandria, G. R, Motes of Delta, W I. Motes of Woodland. M. E. Motes 
of Lineville, and Hoyt Motes of Blackwell, Texas; and Mrs. C. A. Rice of Delta 
Rt. 1, and Mrs. A. L. Meeks or Phoenix, Ariz. 31 grandchildren and 18 great 
grandchildren. Mrs. Motes was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.
