Prominent among these was the death of Mr. J. Whit [Whitman?] BONNER, which occurred Monday [17 Jul 1911] at noon at his home several miles southeast of Roanoke. He was one [of] the most esteemed citizens of this vicinity and was 82 years of age. His surviving children are W. K., R. R., W. W., Samuel and M. C. BONNER and Mrs. Jesse LANE. The burial was at Bethel Tuesday afternoon with Masonic honors. [J. Whit BONNER was a member of Rock Mills Lodge No. 353, A. F. & A. M. His sons were probably: Whitman K. BONNER, 22 Jul 1861--12 Jun 1949, interred Rock Mills cem R. R. BONNER, 29 Sep 1864--19 Apr 1940, interred Cedarwood cem Dr. William Wallace BONNER, 1866-1947, interred Rock Mills cem Samuel L. BONNER, 14 Feb 1873--6 Mar 1947, interred Cedarwood cem Martin Clifford BONNER, 5 Apr 1876--18 Dec 1953, interred Cedarwood cem ] At 8 o'clock Monday morning Mrs. Susan LITTLEFIELD died in this place [Roanoke], where she was making her home with relatives. She was the widow of the late Washington LITTLEFIELD, who lived near Stroud [Chambers co., AL], and was 71 years of age. The remains were carried to Mt. Pisgah yesterday afternoon for interment. The services were conducted by Rev. C. J. BURDEN. Near Wehadkee last Thursday Mrs. Margaret A. [AIKEN] STITT [6 Feb 1835--13 Jul 1911, wife of William W. Stitt, 25 Nov 1832--12 Mar 1898] died at the age of seventy-six years. She was a sister of Colonel AIKEN, of Gadsden. The funeral services were conducted at Paran church Friday by Rev. S. L. DOBBS, in the presence of a large concourse. Other deaths that have occurred lately in the section northeast of Roanoke are as follows: Mr. George W.
