ALGenWeb File Manager - Carolyn Golowka -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by William Fischer, Jr. March 2001 LITTLE MILDRED CAUSEY IS CLAIMED BY DEATH ---------------------------- An event of peculiar sadness was the death of Mildred [b. 1904 or 1905], the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. R. M. CAUSEY, which occurred in Atlanta last Wednesday afternoon [14 Jun 1911] as a result of meningitis. The remains were brought to Roanoke Thursday afternoon and interred in Cedarwood, after touching services at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. S. L. DOBBS, assisted by Rev. F. H. FARRINGTON. The deceased was only six years old, but was an unusually bright and attractive child. She had spent much time with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. MANLEY, in this place [Roanoke], and was a great favorite with them and others. For all much sympathy is felt. ----------------------- A CARD ----------------------- We are anxious that all our friends should know that we appreciate more than words can tell all the sympathy and service given us in our sore bereavement and we employ this method of expressing our gratitude as best we can. Respectfully, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. MANLEY Mr. and Mrs. R. M. CAUSEY [From The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama), 21 Jun 1911, p.1] [Mrs. R. M. CAUSEY was Lola MANLEY, daughter of: C. D. MANLEY, 1857--1921, interred Cedarwood, and Alice RADNEY MANLEY, 1863--1940, interred Cedarwood]
