Roanoke Leader
Clinton B. Neal of Wedowee, age 63, passed away in the Wedowee Hospital at 7:35 
p. m. Friday, August 17. Mr. Neal is survived by his wife, Mrs. Perlona Neal; 1 
son, Artis Neal of Tucson, Arizona; 4 daughters, Mrs. Shirley Williams Payne of 
Wedowee, Mrs. Dolly of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. Charlene Williams of Newell Rt. 1, and 
Mrs. Brooksie Hodges of Roanoke; 10 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Robert and Jack 
Neal; and 1 sister, Mrs. Resa Graham of Anniston. Funeral services for Mr. Neal 
were conducted at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Levins Baptist Church by 
Rev. Arthur Smith. Burial was in the church cemetery. Quattlebaum's Brown Service 
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
