Anniston Star
Funeral services. for Samuel Nelson, age 71, who died at his home on Oxford. 
Route 3, Thursday at noon, were conducted this afternoon at the Mt, Pleasant 
Church by the Rev. George Cobb. Interment the in the Wedowee Cemetery, directed 
by Usrey; Pallbearers were Floyd Hughes, Ingram Coley, Chesley Adams, Thad 
Dempsey, M. Fant and Lon Paris. Surviving are the wife; five sons, J. W J., R. W. 
T. D. P, and J. T. Nelson of Oxford, three daughters. Mrs. M. A. Craig, Oxford, 
Mrs. Tom Davis, Anniston, and Mrs. C. H. Nickolas, Heflin, and four brothers Jim 
and Jay Nelson of Florida, Andrew Nelson of Cullman and Bill Nelson of Anniston.
