Funeral services for Mrs. Easter Ellen New, 81, of Lineville, Rt. 1, will be at 
2 p.m. today at Wesley's Chapel Christian Church in Randolph County with the 
Rev. Gordon Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Bene-
field Funeral Home in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until an hour 
before service. Mrs. New died Friday at her residence after a long illness. 
Survivors include her husband, Dave New of Lineville, Rt. 1, three daughters, 
Mrs. Velma Taylor of Lineville, Rt. 1, Mrs. Bernice Boyd of Wedowee and Mrs. 
Jewell Craven of Oxford, four sons Troy New of Lineville, Rt. 1, Julian New of 
Anniston, Carl New of Lineville and Jimmy New of Wedowee; 14 grandchildren and 
17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Mrs. New was a native and 
lifelong resident of Randolph County, a housewife and a member of Wesley's 
Chapel Christian Church.
