Anniston Star
Mrs. Betty New, age 87, died suddenly at her home here today.  Apoplexy is 
believed to have been the cause of her death. Funeral services will be held from 
Union Hill Church near here at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon. The Rev. J. P. Bean 
will officiate, and burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, with Usrey of Anniston 
in charge. Surviving are three sons, J.S. New of Delta, J. J. Ray of Newell and 
E. D. Ray of Anniston, and three sisters, one of them, Mrs. Amanda Hill living at 
Oxford.
