P. Nichols, of this place, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Handley, of Louina, Ala., aged seventeen years, four months and two days. Mrs. Nichols died last Sunday at 12 m., at her father's residence, whither she had gone to recuperate her health; but alsa! she only returned to the home of her childhood to die, and under the tenderest ministrations of mother, father, husband and friends. she passed away. Language is made quate to express the sorrow of loving hearts over her untimely death. Married to a noble and affectionate husband only a few short weeks ago, just blooming into fair and lovely womanhood, life full of bright hopes spread out before her, it is indeed sad to know that the relentless hand of death has forever blasted all these roseate prospects of earthly happiness. She had lived in our community for only brief time, yet her fair, bright face and winning ways had gained for her many friends. Our entire community is deeply grieved, and many warm friends are in sympathy with those whose hearts are bereaved so sadly by the death of this beloved one. She was the only daughter of her parents, and their hearts are overwhelmed with grief at her lost to them and to the sadly stricken young husband we extend our tender sympathy. The funeral took place last Monday at the family burial place at the "Campground," near Louina. a very large concourse of sorrowing relatives followed the loved one to her grave; the funeral services were impressively conducted by Rev. W. C. Bledsoe File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/al/randolph/obits/n/nichols2547gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/alfiles/ File size: 2.2 Kb
