Roanoke Leader
Funeral services of Mr. B. F. Nix, who died at his home in LaGrange on last 
Friday, were held here Saturday at the Baptist church and interment was in the 
Masonic cemetery. Mr. Nix, aged 57, was born and reared in Randolph County and 
resided in Wedowee for many years while serving as postmaster here. The deceased 
was a man of magnanimous spirit and highly esteemed by all who knew him. He is 
survived by his wife, who was ever devoted during his long years of illness, four 
daughters, his father, Mr. J. M. Nix, a Confederate veteran, and a number of near 
relatives.
