OBITUARIES:

Mrs. Ella Katherine Nolen

   (OPELIKA) Mrs. Ella Katherine Nolen, age 81, of 1623 2nd Ave., Opelika, died 
Wednesday, Aug. 8, 1984, in Meriwether Memorial Hospital, Warm Springs, Ga.
   Mrs. Nolen is survived by her husband, H.E. Nolen; one daughter, Miss Mary 
Nell Taylor of Opelika; one son, Buddy Taylor of Thomaston, Ga.; two 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Barnette 
and Mrs. Ann Hodge, both of Opelika, and Mrs. Nell Hill of Roanoke; and one 
brother, Curtis Tittle of Cusseta, Ala.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Nolen were conducted Friday afternoon at two 
o'clock from Quattlebaum's Funeral Chapel, with burial in Cedarwood Cemetery, 
Roanoke. The Rev. Steve Pilkington and the Rev. Gerald Baxley officiated.
   Pallbearers were Arnold Hill, Todd Hodge, Larry Pitts, Olin Tittle, and Tony 
Tittle.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
