Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Hattie Norred, age 67, wife of Oscar Norred, Newell Rt. 1, passed away in 
the Wedowee Hospital at 10:20 Sunday morning, Dec. 11. Besides her husband, Mrs. 
Norred is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bessie McClain and Mrs. Clara Miles, 
both of Newell; four brothers, J. W. Boyd of Addison, Ala., W. A. and C. H. Boyd, 
both of Wedowee, and D. B. Boyd of Albuquerque, N. M.; three grandchildren and 
two greatgrandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Norred were conducted Monday 
afternoon at two o'clock from the Cavers Grove Christian Church. The Rev. W. A. 
Martin and Rev. D. M. Craft officiated. Interment was in the Levins cemetery, 
Quattlebaum's Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
