The Roanoke News says that a few days ago Mr. T.F. Noris's little son, Theodore, 
shot himself. He had started hunting with the gun on his shoulder but stumbled 
and fell in such a way as to throw the nuzzle of the gun toward him. The whole 
load was discharged into his body, taking effect under the left shoulder blade 
ranging downward. He died in a few minutes. As he was shot from behind, he must 
have fallen on his left side, pitching the gun forward and to the left.
