Mrs. Eva Reeves Overcash 62 East Vernon Community died at 4:35 am Tuesday at 
City-County Hospital here. Funeral will be at 11 am today at East Vernon Baptist 
Church with the Revs Ralph S. Estes and Jesse Ray officiating Burial will be in 
Concord Cemetery in Randolph County Ala. Mrs. Overcash was born on Aug 15, 1905, 
in Randolph County a daughter of the late Frank and Nancy Hodge Reeves. Before 
moving to the East Vernon Community 15 years ago. Mrs. Overcash had lived in 
LaGrange. She was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church. Survivors include her 
husband Eugene W Overcash East Vernon Community, three sons Raymond and Hurschel 
Overcash both of East Vernon Community and Lee Overcash LaGrange, three 
stepsisters, Mrs. Diary Wallace Decatur Ala., Mrs. Sarah Dowdel Atlanta and Mrs. 
Lillian Adair Newnan, two stepbrothers Hiram Owens Newnan and Curtis Owens 
Opelika Ala and four grandchildren.
