Services for Joel Carl Pauley, 28, of Newell, Rt. 1, will be today at 2 p.m. at 
Union Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery and Benefield Funeral 
Home of Wedowee in charge. The body will remain at the funeral home until time of 
services. Mr. Pauley died today at his residence. Survivors include, his mother, 
Mrs. Edna Pauley of Wedowee; his father, C.B. Pauley of Newell; six brothers, 
John Wayne Pauley of Charlottesville, Va., Jerry Lee Pauley of Churchville, Va., 
Lester Pauley of Carrollton, GA., Roy Pauley and Phillip Pauley, both of Newell, 
and Brian Pauley of Wedowee, two sisters, Mrs. Jennifer Morris of Free Union, 
Va., and Mrs. Tammy Pauley of Wedowee. Mr. Pauley was a lifelong resident of 
Randolph County and a Baptist. He was a construction worker.
