Services, for Billy Jack Pauley, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pauley of 
Newell, Rt. 1, were Saturday at Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Steven Carter 
officiating. Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of 
Wedowee in charge. The infant died Thursday at University Hospital in Birmingham. 
Survivors other than parents include two sisters, Miss Linda Pauley and Miss 
Cathy Pauley, both of Newell, Rt 1; a brother, Everett Pauley of Newell; his 
maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Whitley of Heflin; and his paternal 
grandmother, Mrs. Cassie Pauley of Newell.
