Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Sgt. T-5 Henry B. Phillips were held at Center West Baptist 
Church in Randolph County on Tuesday of last week. Rev. E. F. Daniels and Rev. C. 
E. Wellborn conducted the services. Sgt. Philips was killed Oct. 28, 1943, in the 
Pacific area while a prisoner of the Japanese. Full military honors were given 
him by the Delta and Lineville V. F. W. Posts. Surviving are the parents, two 
brothers and one sister. Blair Funeral Home was in charge of burial.
