OBITUARIES:

Irma Swann Ponder

   (ROANOKE) Mrs. Irma Swann Ponder, age 79, of Rt. 1 Roanoke, died Monday, 
Feb. 9, 1987 at her home.
   Mrs. Ponder is survived by her husband, Young Ponder; two daughters, Mrs. 
Sue Thornton of Gadsden and Mrs. Jean Rampy of Woodland; five grandchildren; 
one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services for Mrs. Ponder were Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. from the 
Mt. Zion Congregational Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Johnson and Rev. 
David Layne officiating.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
   Pallbearers were Euclid Brown, Harold Maynard, Bill Harvel, Tommy Mitchum, 
Sonny Baird, and Ben Mitchum.
   Quattlebaum's Brown-Service Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
