The parents had left their children, three in number, of which this was the oldest at the house, in charge of a girl about 13 years old, while they went to the field to work. When they returned at noon, they found the burnt child in bed with its clothes all burned off, and the girl gone. She was found at Mr. John Fausett's, but says she knows nothing of the burning.
