Ruby Prestridge
 
Ruby Pearl Bradley Prestridge, 85, 213 Church St, Hogansville, died Sunday, 
Nov. 17, 2002.
 
Mrs. Prestridge was born Nov. 5, 1917 in Roanoke, Ala., daughter of Thomas and 
Lou Hicks Phillips.  She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist 
Church.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Alton Bradley and J. C. 
Prestridge, sons, Carlyle Bradley and Steve Bradley; daughter, Annie Lou South; 
five infant children; five brothers and two sisters.
 
Survivors include her son, Marvin Bradley of Hogansville; daughters, Marcelle 
Benefield of Dublin, Va. and Mary Jane Bradley, of Bowdon, 15 grandchildren: 
Martha James, Donna Kay Benefield, Sandy Shoemaker, Eugene Benefield, Annette 
Walter, Duane Benefield, Johnny Benefield, Marie Hairr, Wendell Bradley, Jason 
Bradley, Junior Bradley, Joe Bradley, Jeremy Bradley, Danielle Bradley and 
April Bradley Walker and 22 great-grandchildren.
 
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, at Pleasant Grove 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Ridley Herren and the Rev. Terry Eason 
officiating.  Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter.
 
Pallbearers will be Greg Eason, Bobby Stacy, Larry Bradley, Kenny Johnson, 
Justin Walker and Stewart Shoemaker.  Interment will follow at the Pleasant 
Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
