Anniston Star
William Webster Reaves, 86, of Newell died Tuesday at Randolph County Hospital 
after a long illness. Services will be Thursday at Union Baptist Church with the 
Rev. Monroe Wiggins and the Rev. Ray Runyan officiating. Burial will be in the 
adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. Survivors 
include four daughters, Mrs. Mamie Pitts of Roanoke, Mrs. Mattie Lipham of 
Newell, Mrs. Mavis Collier of Anniston and Mrs. Alma Newton of Alexandria; five 
sons, T. R. Reaves of Wedowee, McKinley Reaves, Wallace Reaves, both of Wedowee, 
Gay Reaves of, Newell and Calvin Reaves of Anniston; a brother, Charlie Reaves of 
Lanett. The body will remain at the funeral home until one hour prior to 
services.
