OBITUARIES:

Essie Mae Ross

   (WEDOWEE) Mrs. Essie Mae Ross died Friday, Apr. 24, 1987 at Wedowee 
Hospital, Wedowee, Alabama, at the age of 73.
   Mrs. Ross was born in Randolph County and was a member of Mt. Carmel United 
Methodist Church in Woodland.
   She is survived by two daughters, Ms. Ester Lean Ross and Ms. Corene Ross, 
of Woodland; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Stephens of Woodland and Mrs. Lacy Mae 
Boyd of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Kinley Boyd and Nolan Boyd of Bowdon, Ga.; 
and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
   Mrs. Ross's funeral was held Sunday, April 26 at 3:00 p.m. at Zion Rest 
Baptist Church in Wedowee, with the Rev. L.W. Ferrell officiating.  Interment 
was at Zion Rest Cemetery.
   Vines Funeral Home of LaFayette was in charge of arrangements.
