He was a gallant Confederate soldier and had been a resident of this county for many years. At the time of his last illness he was living with his family in Lowell, this city [Roanoke]. He formerly resided at Rock Mills, and his remains were carried there Sunday afternoon for interment. The funeral services were conducted in the old home of the deceased by Rev C J BURDEN, of LaFayette [Chambers Co., AL].
