The Atlanta Constitution
Mr. Herbert Scales passed away Aug. 13, 1974, at a local hospital. Funeral 
services will be held at Stephen Mission Methodist Church, Aug. 17 at 2:30 p.m. 
in Wedowee, Ala. Survivors are wife, Mrs. Hattie Scales; eight children, Trueran, 
Annette, Gwen, Matilda, Mary, Ronnie, Gordon and William; mother, Mrs. Annie M. 
Scales; three sisters, two brothers. Alfonso Dawson Mortuary.
