C. Sharman a prominent citizen of Randolph County, was accidently killed in his sawmill by a piece of scantling thrown out by the saw. The Piedmont Post: Col. J. C. Sharman, of Rock Mills, a prominent citizen and influential politician of Randolph County, was killed at his sawmill, three miles west of Rock Mills, the 25th, by being hit on the head by a piece of swinging board which he had placed over the saw to keep the saw dust out of his eyes.
