OBITUARIES:

Herman Lee Shaw

   (GADSDEN) Herman Lee Shaw of Gadsden, formerly of Roanoke, died at 11:35 
p.m. on Monday, December 3, 1984, after an extended illness.
   Mr. Shaw served as principal at Randolph County Training School in Roanoke 
for 20 years.  Funeral services for Mr. Shaw will be held at 3:30 p.m. on 
Thursday, December 6 from the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Gadsden.  Interment 
will be on Friday in Roanoke at the Peace and Goodwill Church Cemetery.
   He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ida Coleman Shaw of Gadsden; one son, 
Baryll C. Shaw of Chattanooga; three daughters, Gigi Tas Shaw of New York City, 
Vale Charletha Shaw of Gadsden, and Nina Darinda Shaw of Detroit.
