Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethleen Maddox Sheppard, age 81, of Lineville will be 
Saturday August 12, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Church of God with Revs. Billy 
Saxon, Claude Bennett and Rob Turley officiating. Burial will follow in Valley 
Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County. Mrs. Sheppard passed 
away Thursday August 10, 2006, at Lineville Health and Rehabilitation Center. 
She was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. Mrs. Sheppard had 
been employed with Higgins Manufacturing Company for several years but retired 
from Oxford Fashion after 16. years and was also a Quilter. She was a. member of 
Zion Church of God. She is survived by one daughter, Karen Pogue (Mike), of 
Lineville; two sons, Terry Sheppard (Angie), of Lineville and Don Sheppard 
(Carolyn), of Wedowee; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and special 
caregivers, Maxine Willoughby and Luella Craig. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Roy Leon Sheppard.  Pallbearers will be Willis Smith, Doug Sheppard, 
Stanley Ford, Ricky New, James Yarbrough, Sonny Clarke, Jeff Fuller, Ralph 
Sheppard. The family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville 
from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening, August 11, 2006 and until 1 hr. prior to service 
time on Saturday. She will lie in state at the church for 1 hour.
