The Times-Argus
Died, at her father's residence, Rook Mills, Randolph County, August 3rd, a 
daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J. F. Shepherd, aged 14 years and 4 months. She sought 
and obtained salvation at an early age, and, attaching herself to the Missionary 
Baptist church, lived and died in the Christians faith. On her deathbed, she 
besought her friends to have faith in the Lord and Savior or they could not. come 
to her, and her last words were a prayer for them, uttering which she lifted her 
hands towards Heaven and passed sweetly away. She has, gone. Heaven as received 
its own. She has left no reason for grief for those she left behind, hut joy in a 
greater hope for salvation. BAPTIST.
