Mrs. Lena Sheppard 67 of 818 South 10th St died at 9 pm Wednesday at City-County 
Hospital in LaGrange after a long illness. Funeral will be at 3 pm today at Three 
Pines Baptist Church in Huguley with the Revs Willard Boozer and J H King 
officiating. Burial will be in Bacon Level Cemetery. Mrs. Sheppard was born on 
July 9, 1900 in Randolph County Ala. Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Jessie 
Griffin Lanett, three sons Walter Sheppard Opelika, Frankie Sheppard LaGrange and 
Earl Sheppard Lanett, a sister Mrs. Lewis Reynolds Lanett, three brothers Elroy 
Jeter Sylacauga and Bill and Huey Jeter both of Atlanta Ga and seven 
grandchildren.
