Charlie Alexander 30 Negro truck driver for the Tennessee Carload Fruit Company of Knoxville was arrested by Deputy sheriffs Bo Dunn and Tom Long on charges of manslaughter with an automobile and reckless driving. Preliminary hearing was set for Tuesday before Squire J.L. Lewis in Athens. Sikes was killed instantly, O.G. McCain 28 of LaGrange Ga brother-in-law of Sikes is in a critical condition at the Epperson Hospital suffering from head injuries Frank McCain L.B. Wright and W.H. Brown all of LaGrange Ga sustained only slight injuries. The five men were on their way to Detroit Mich.
