Funeral for Arthur B Sikes 66 was held Saturday at the Noonday Christian church 
near Wedowee Alabama. Mr. Sikes died Thursday at the home of his daughter Mrs. 
Leon Barrett at 510 Greenville Street LaGrange. He had been in ill health for 
nine years Born in Randolph County Ala., he lived in Wedowee Ala most of his life 
moving to LaGrange only two months before his death. Mr. Sikes is survived by 
three sons D B Sikes, W E Sikes Roanoke Ala and A D Sikes U S Navy Norfolk Va., 
two daughters Mrs. Barrett LaGrange and Mrs. Joe Hester Hinesville five brothers 
L M Sikes, T O N Sikes, C O Sikes, H E Sikes all of Wedowee and J W Sikes Cusseta 
Ala., three sisters Mrs. Ola French and Mrs. Ella French Wedowee and Mrs. Nevada 
Garner Cullman Ala., five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
