Mrs. Maude Sikes, 76, of Wedowee, RL.1 died of a heart attack at 9:10 a.m., 
Wednesday in Bowden, Ga., hospital. She is survived by her husband, Larking 
Sikes; a son Brewer (Pete) Sikes of Oxford; two daughters, Mrs. Eunice of Wedowee 
and Mrs. Doris Nix of LaFayette, Ga. seven grandchildren and eight 
greatgrandchildren; one brother, Albert Strain of LaGrange, Ga.; five sisters, 
Mrs. Mollie Kirby of Villa Rica, Ga., Mrs. Cora Moore of Burlington. N. C, Mrs. 
Roxie Benefield and Mrs. Ada Traylor of LaGrange, Ga., and Mrs. Nettie Holder of 
Wedowee. Funeral services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Noon Day.
