Funeral services for Charlie Otto Sikes, Jr 44, were held Thursday morning at the 
Wedowee Methodist Church with the Rev. Elton Lowery officiating. Burial followed 
in the Wedowee Masonic Temple cemetery. Mr. Sikes is survived by the widow, Mrs. 
Ann W. Sikes; one son, Charles A. Sikes, one daughter, Margaret Ann Sikes, all of 
Wedowee; and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. 0. Sikes, Sr., of Wedowee. Mr. Sikes 
was in the upholstery business and was a part-time policeman for the town of 
Wedowee. He died unexpectedly during surgery Tuesday morning in the Chambers 
County Hospital in LaFayette.
