Services for Mr. Heribert W. Skolud, 81, of Wedowee were today at Pilgrims Rest 
Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating. Burial was in the adjoining 
cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Wedowee in charge. Mr. Skolud died 
Monday at Lineville Nursing Facility. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hilde 
Skolud of Wedowee; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Huddleston of Wedowee; a son, Heinz 
Skolud of Birmingham; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Peter Herda, 
Glenn Traylor, Alex Huddleston, Arthur Bain, Walter Huddleston, Eddie Lindley, 
Vincent Smith, Roy Lindley and Earl Huddleston. A Schwintochlowitz, Germany, Mr. 
Skolud had lived in Atlanta for 15 years and in Randolph County for the past 18 
years. He was retired consulting engineer with a soft drink company and 
graduated from the University of Berlin.
