Roanoke Leader
Aunt Martha Smith, an aged and respected citizen of this community, died Saturday 
afternoon at the home of her son, Shell Smith, where she was making her home. She 
had an attack of pneumonia and was sick only a short while. Funeral services and 
burial were conducted here Sunday at noon. She is survived by five children, 
three daughters and two sons. Her husband preceded her in death several years ago
