Raonoke Leader
After a few days illness, following a long period of ill health, Mrs. Charles A. 
Smith died at her home in LaGrange last Sun-also I day night. Funeral services 
were conducted at one o'clock Monday afternoon at the Dixie Mills Baptist church 
by the pastor, Mr. Smith, and the remains were then brought to Paran, this 
county, and interred. Mrs. Smith was reared in Randolph and resided near Wehadkee 
until a short while ago, when the family removed to LaGrange. She had many 
friends in this section, who mourn the untimely passing of this good woman. 
Surviving are the husband, three children and two stepchildren.
