Mrs. Ben H. Smith died Sunday night at the age of 96. She was one of Wedowee's 
oldest citizens, resided here for many years. She is survived by three sons and 
three daughters, Larkin Smith of Cullman, Wyatt Smith of Jay Fla., and Jim Smith 
of Bowdon Ga. Mrs. G. W. French of Atlanta; Mrs. Joe Huey of Wedowee Mrs. Jim 
Ayres of Tampa, Fla and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 
Funeral services were held Wedowee Baptist Church today with the Rev. R. C. 
Kinnaird, pastor in charge.
